I’m 14 yrs. old, but I really want to start upping my grades, and wanted to know what else I need to do so I can into the The Art Institute of Colorado in Denver. I want to do fashion design.

I’m curious as to what the requirements are. Are SAT, or ACT scores necessary for this school? Generally, what all is needed besides money?

I was laid off in January and wasn’t having much luck with jobs so I moved to Denver,Colorado for a five months. Does this mean I lost my California residency?

I had to make a call one day. This girl I knew went nuts on me and took my keys so I could leave her house. I sat in my car while I called the police to get back my keys, and they said she left and she didnt she just didnt answer the door for them.

Anyways I tried to press charges for theft on this girl and they wouldnt press any charges on her even though she stole my keys. Then a week later she brought back my keys and then assaulted me so now I have to go to court over the matter.

The records of the police phone call that I made and the records of the police officer coming out to the scene are available but there was no report ever made by me, but they tell me I cant get the records for a whole month and it will cost me 15.00. I went to their website and it states that that is only for arrest records and offers nothing about call records and police reports of coming to the scene.

How do I get them? I have been to the subdivision the officers came out from and they told me they didnt have any records of anything at all. Then I called the Denver police Dept. and they gave me the run around.

I need these records in about a week or so because this assault case is going to trial and I have to give this report to my lawyer. How can I get these records?

I was charged with a dwai in december 2010 (sentenced in january 2011) in denver colorado my terms of probation were 1 year probation, 12 level 2 alcohol classes, 24 hours community service, and a MAAD class, and fines.

I was pulled over three months after this driving on an alcohol suspended license and served 18 days work release in the county jail.

this month i received a letter saying i am in violation of my probation and have court.. what do you think i will be looking at? with no priors and no criminal past as a 20 year old full time employed and student. and if i miss the court date what will occur as well? thank you.

I moved into an apartment complex in Denver called City Gate (criminals) a few months ago. At move in they give you a 32" lcd tv. Long story, I asked the manager to break my lease and since the long story means "they screwed me over alot" she let me as long as I gave the tv back. I moved out and left the tv in the apartment. I get a call a week later with her asking me where the tv was… Yeah. Now they are sending me a bill for the tv. Getting a lawyer would just be as expensive as paying for the tv, what do i do?

Edit: They told me to leave it in the apartment. I didn’t think anything of it. She claims that no one checked the keys out in between when I left and when it was stolen.

From 1/12 question and n7ybh: I just found out that my grandson’s other great grandparents had their house burn to the ground this morning. Only minor injuries, but great grandpa was just recently diagnosed with cancer. Please keep the family in your prayers. They are in their late seventies, early eighties, and had one of their grandchildren living with them (he’s only 9). The family didn’t have any insurance and still has a loan owing of over 00.

Lincoln made it through surgery with flying colors! They had to do something different then we had thought. The surgeon extended the old incision a little more to the left because the x ray showed a bubble over there. The bubble turned out to be a ball of bowel, stuck under another part of the bowel. As soon as he untangled it, gross as it is, the stoma started working! And because it released waste, and took a lot of pressure out of his tummy, his need for oxygen went way down! So overall he is doing really well, and he said hopefully he will soon be able to start feedings again. Praise God!

The bank bought back my house at a foreclosure auction on jan 14, 2010. They didnt send me a letter or put a letter on my door telling me about the auction date. Everything that I have read tells me that the bank needed to tell about the sale date ahead of time. Im still in my house know. Still no word from the bank. What options do I have?I also lost my job. Should I get a lawyer? I long can I stay in the house? When will a eviction letter show up? Some people tell me that they will give me 30 days to move out once the letter shows up, some people tell me 24 hrs once the letter shows up. What is the law in denver, colorado? In the foreclosure law summary it states that the public trustees office must also mail at lease 21 days before the foreclosure sale date a letter letting the homeowner know about the sale date. This didnt happen. There was no notifcation about a jan 14 sale date.

In July of 2005, my wife filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy. In her bankruptcy, she included a private student loan to SLM Corp on the order of 00. I am aware that government backed loans are not discharged in bankruptcy , but from my readings, private loans, such as the Signature Student Loan from the Sallie Mae subsidiary SLM Corporation were dischargeable before the enactment of the new bankruptcy laws in October of 2005. SLM is now attempting to collect on this loan, and is calling 5 times per day, refusing to provide requested documentation, and is in general being an @$$. How do we get SLM Corp to stop trying to collect on this debt? What’s the steps in filing the necessary paperwork with the bankruptcy court? Are there any Denver based attorneys willing to help us with this who read here?

Warning: RANT AHEAD: Read only if you want to hear another sob story about Sallie Mae and their downright abusive treatment of borrowers.

What’s truly rich about this is that my wife is still in school. All the options available to public loans, such as in-school deferment, Income Based Repayment and Income Contingent Repayment, hardship forbearance, unemployment forbearance, and so on which excuses the public student loans from being dischargeable are not available for this private loan. My wife is a full time student, and is living now on student loans while getting her master’s degree, but because of this early bachelors degree loan, she would have to contemplate dropping out of school and trying to find a job in this economy to pay this loan back, if she owed it.

All the lawyer firms locally say that they won’t touch the case because ‘Student Loans are not discharged in bankruptcy’. Yet online, there is site after site stating that non-governmental backed student loans only became non-dischargeable after the new bankruptcy laws of 2005. I’m hoping that I can find an attorney who can help us.

BTW, Sallie Mae? If any of your goons are reading this, perhaps they can take this message back to you. You know that nearly ,000 in student debt that you have that is Federally guaranteed? This summer, we’re consolidating it with the Federal Direct Loan my wife got last year. Say bye to all that interest. And I’m going to recommend this course of action for everyone who has a Federal loan through you.
